CM Naib Singh Saini Unveils ₹25 Crore Development Projects in Kalka

New Announcements for Heritage, Infrastructure, and Tourism Development

Kalka, 18 December – Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini announced a slew of development initiatives worth ₹25 crore for the Kalka constituency during a grand “Thank You Rally” held in Kalka today. Among the major projects inaugurated were the 132 kV and 66 kV substations in Nanakpur, a bridge over the Khuhwala River in Nanakpur, and another bridge on the Berghati River in Nala Dakharog village.

The rally, attended by MP Kartikeya Sharma and Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma, was marked by a series of announcements aimed at boosting infrastructure, tourism, and civic amenities in the region.

Key Announcements: From Heritage to Modernization

The Chief Minister declared the formation of a committee under the Tourism Department to revamp Kalka’s historical and cultural landmarks. The committee, chaired by tourism officials, will include MLA Shakti Rani Sharma as a special invitee and is tasked with preparing a detailed report in six months.

The committee’s responsibilities include:

  • Declaring select old buildings as heritage sites.
  • Establishing a film city in Kalka.
  • Setting up a zoological park and safari in the Morni area.
  • Launching tourist activities at Kaushalya Dam.
  • Renovating historic stepwells (bawadis).

New Judicial and Administrative Complex in Pinjore

The CM announced the construction of a state-of-the-art judicial and administrative complex in Pinjore. Furthermore, two welcoming gates will be constructed at the entry points of Kalka from Himachal Pradesh, enhancing the region’s appeal to tourists and visitors.

For the Morni Shivalik area, plans were unveiled for the construction of water tanks and check dams to improve water management and supply. Additionally, ₹5 crore has been earmarked for repairing and renovating dilapidated school buildings under the School Education Department’s budget provisions.

Focus on Livelihood and Civic Amenities

The Chief Minister emphasized creating sustainable livelihood opportunities by announcing a feasibility study for setting up a tomato-based food processing plant under the PPP model in the Kalka constituency.

Other critical announcements included:

  • Upgrading the veterinary dispensaries in Ganeshpur Bhoria and Badi Sher villages to veterinary hospitals.
  • Opening a new veterinary dispensary in Vasudevpur village.
  • Allocating ₹5 crore exclusively for various development projects in Kalka.

Enhancing Urban and Rural Infrastructure

Addressing urban development needs, CM Saini revealed plans for conducting tenders to develop parks across six wards in Kalka. Based on land availability, additional parks will be constructed in five more wards.

Rai Pur Rani and Morni areas will benefit from the establishment of fire stations after feasibility assessments. A tender process is underway for the installation of sewerage lines and a sewage plant in Rai Pur Rani to ensure modern sanitation facilities for residents.
