CM Nayab Singh Announces State Transplant Center at PGIMS Rohtak for Enhanced Healthcare Services
Chandigarh, 18 June: Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh announced the upcoming establishment of a State Transplant Center at Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (PGIMS), Rohtak, aiming to facilitate kidney and other organ transplants. Emphasizing the state government’s commitment to providing superior healthcare services, the CM assured full support to enhance PGIMS, Rohtak.
Addressing a felicitation ceremony honoring the kidney transplant team at PGIMS, CM Nayab Singh congratulated the team for their achievements and highlighted that their successful methods would benefit not only the people of Haryana but also the nation and the world. He reiterated the government’s continuous efforts to provide affordable and accessible healthcare to the public, stating that healthcare infrastructure in Haryana has seen unprecedented growth over the last decade.
With two AIIMS already operational in Haryana—one in Jhajjar and another foundation stone laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Rewari—the state aims to establish a medical college in every district to ensure the availability of skilled doctors and advanced medical facilities. Currently, around 18 medical colleges are operational in the state, with more in the pipeline.
The Chief Minister’s vision includes making high-quality healthcare services affordable and accessible, aligning with the national trend of rapid healthcare infrastructure development. The establishment of the State Transplant Center at PGIMS, Rohtak, is a significant step towards achieving this goal.
