CM Sukhu Accuses Former MLA Sudhir Sharma of Corruption and Land Mafia Activities

Dharamshala – In a fiery speech today, Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu launched a scathing attack on former MLA Sudhir Sharma, accusing him of being the kingpin of numerous corrupt activities. Addressing a rally, CM Sukhu alleged that Sharma is a duplicitous individual, presenting a facade of simplicity while being deeply involved in corruption.

CM Sukhu accused Sudhir Sharma of using black money to acquire 82 properties in and around Dharamshala. These properties, worth millions, were allegedly bought in the name of his driver, Nek Ram. Sukhu questioned how the driver could afford properties worth ₹10 crores in just three years, implying that Sharma funneled his ill-gotten wealth through his subordinate.

The Chief Minister also claimed that Sharma owns benami properties not only in Dharamshala but also in Dubai, Palampur, Shimla, Manali, and Chandigarh. These assets, he said, are a testament to Sharma’s corrupt practices. According to Sukhu, Sharma, during his tenure as an MLA, exerted pressure on landowners to sell their properties to him. One such incident involved a landowner who was coerced by Sharma to sell his land, despite the owner’s refusal due to limited holdings. Sukhu revealed that the investigation is ongoing, and more revelations about Sharma’s activities are expected soon.

The revelations were made during public gatherings in Passu, Mandal, Gurudwara Singh Sabha YOL Bazaar, and Khaniyara, organized to support Congress candidate Devendra Jaggi. Despite heavy rainfall, people gathered in large numbers to hear the Chief Minister speak.CM Sukhu emphasized that Sharma’s actions have caused significant harm to the people of Dharamshala. He accused Sharma of prioritizing personal wealth over public service, stating that even during his tenure, Sharma remained inaccessible to the public, avoiding their issues and refusing to attend the assembly regularly.

Highlighting the initiatives taken by the Congress government, Sukhu mentioned the establishment of a ₹250 crore milk processing plant in Dhangwar and a ₹500 crore Unity Mall in Sharma’s constituency. He asserted that these projects were aimed at the development of the region, contrasting this with Sharma’s focus on personal gain. CM Sukhu urged the voters of Dharamshala to support Devendra Jaggi, an honest candidate chosen by the Congress party. He promised that electing Jaggi would lead to substantial development in the constituency.

The Chief Minister appealed to the public to reject corrupt politicians like Sudhir Sharma, emphasizing that such individuals have no place in politics. He called on BJP workers to rise above party lines and vote against Sharma, suggesting that Sharma’s loyalty lies with money, not with the people or any political ideology. Sukhu concluded by assuring the people of Dharamshala that he would personally oversee the development of the area. He urged the voters to make a decisive choice on June 1, ensuring that corrupt politicians are held accountable and removed from positions of power.

During the rally, several prominent figures were present, including Sports Minister Yadavinder Goma, CM’s Media Advisor Naresh Chauhan, and former candidate Vijay Inder Karan, among others.
