CM Sukhu Pays Tribute to Indira Gandhi on Her Birth Anniversary at Shimla’s Ridge

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu commemorated the birth anniversary of India’s first woman Prime Minister, Indira Gandhi, by offering floral tributes at the historic Ridge in Shimla today.

In his address, CM Sukhu lauded Indira Gandhi’s remarkable contributions to the country, emphasizing her role in uniting and empowering the nation through visionary leadership. He highlighted her groundbreaking initiatives like land reforms and bank nationalization, which significantly uplifted the common people. The Chief Minister also praised her unwavering commitment to national unity, recalling how she sacrificed her life to safeguard the integrity of India.

The event was attended by several dignitaries, including Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania, MLAs Harish Janartha and Ranjit Singh Rana, Political Advisor to the CM Sunil Sharma, Principal Advisor (Media) Naresh Chauhan, HIMUDA Vice Chairman Yashwant Chajtta, and Shimla Mayor Surender Chauhan, among others. Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap and local councillors were also present, marking the occasion with great reverence.
