Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, addressing a public meeting in Sarahan, Rampur tehsil of Shimla district, declared the establishment of a sub-tehsil in Pandra-Bees area of Rampur. He also announced plans for a bus stand and shopping complex in Nankhari, renaming of Nalati Stadium after former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh, renaming of Middle School Kinnu after Martyr Pawan Dhangal, an ITI at Badhawli, construction of a parking lot in Rampur, and allocated Rs. 50 Lakh for Sarpara lake’s rejuvenation.
Expressing concern over rebel MLAs, the Chief Minister questioned who was financing their stay outside the state, alleging BJP’s involvement in destabilizing the state government. He highlighted the government’s accomplishments, including financial aid for women, restoration of OPS, launching the Rajiv Gandhi Start-up Yojana, introducing English medium in government schools, and increasing milk procurement prices.
The government has initiated the Mukhya Mantri Sukh Aarogya Yojana, offering free treatment to those above 70, and raised MNREGA workers’ wages by Rs. 60. The Chief Minister emphasized economic empowerment for farmers, announcing increased support prices for organically produced wheat and maize.
PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh lauded the Chief Minister for dedicating around Rs. 100 crore worth of projects in the PWD department. The government’s commitment to empowering women and assisting weaker sections of society was underscored.
Chairman State Planning Commission Nand Lal thanked the Chief Minister for inaugurating long-pending development projects. Subsequently, the Chief Minister inaugurated approximately 25 projects worth Rs. 165 crore in Rampur AC, including healthcare, education, and infrastructure initiatives.
