CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu Criticizes PM Modi Over Disaster Relief Neglect in Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has sharply criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for neglecting the state during its worst-ever disaster while making appearances for votes. Sukhu highlighted that despite the massive calamity, Himachal did not receive a special relief package. He accused PM Modi and BJP leaders of falsely claiming that crores were given in disaster relief, explaining that the funds from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are annual installments allocated to all states, disaster or not.

Sukhu defended the state government’s initiatives such as the Old Pension Scheme (OPS), the ₹1500 pension scheme, the Sukh Ashray Scheme, and the plan to provide free education to widows’ children up to the age of 27, stating these measures were not mistakes. He declared that the people of Himachal Pradesh will put an end to BJP’s politics of manipulation on June 4th.
