In a series of significant announcements and addresses, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, while addressing public gatherings in Jhandhuta and Ghumarwin constituencies, unveiled several development initiatives and addressed pressing political issues in Himachal Pradesh.Addressing the public in Lag, Jhandhuta assembly constituency, CM Sukhu inaugurated the Himachal Pradesh Cooperative Bank branch and an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Kotdhar. Additionally, he pledged to commence a bus service from PMCH in Nakhleda and Shahtalai to AIIMS Kothipura and announced the double laning of Thapna to Bagchhal road, allocating Rs 50 crore for its development.

Sukhu emphasized his unwavering commitment to principles, highlighting his stance against corruption and dedication to the state’s welfare. He noted the government’s efforts to bolster revenue through enhanced income from internal sources, citing a significant increase of Rs 2200 crore in the current fiscal year. Moreover, he underscored initiatives such as the Sukh Shiksha Yojana for educating children of widows and single women and the increment of MNREGA laborer honorarium to Rs. 300 per day.

The CM reiterated the government’s support for marginalized sections, including the elderly, women, and orphaned children, through schemes like support price on milk, the Mukhyamantri Sukh Aashray Yojana, and financial aid for disaster-affected families. He condemned the betrayal of public trust by rebel MLAs, emphasizing that the public would hold them accountable for their actions.

Sukhu criticized the previous BJP-led administration for leaving the state in significant debt and liabilities, despite which the government reinstated the old pension scheme for over 1.36 lakh employees. He lauded the government’s proactive approach during natural disasters, highlighting initiatives like Revenue Lok Adalats and revamped relief packages for affected families.

The CM announced the allocation of Rs. 58 crore for the double laning of Bagchhal bridge, aimed at enhancing connectivity and reducing travel time for residents of Jhandhuta and Ghumarwin constituencies. He emphasized the bridge’s strategic importance in facilitating movement to Bilaspur and Kiratpur.

Furthermore, Sukhu announced the upgradation of Sub-Tehsil Bharari to Tehsil and the establishment of a professional technical institute in Ghumarwin, reflecting the government’s commitment to expanding educational and technical infrastructure.

Congress leader Vivek Kumar expressed gratitude for the inauguration of the Baghchhal Bridge, a long-pending demand, and appreciated the CM’s commitment to infrastructure development in the region.Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s announcements and addresses underscore the government’s dedication to inclusive development and political accountability in Himachal Pradesh. With a focus on education, employment generation, and infrastructure, the government aims to uplift marginalized communities and propel the state towards prosperity.
