Congress president election, voting underway, result on 19th

It will for the 6th time when the PCC members will elect party chief.

Voting for this began at 10 am today at AICC headquarters where Congress party leader Sonia Gandhi and others cast their votes. Around 9,200 Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) delegates form the electoral college to pick the party chief in a secret ballot.

For the votes polling booths are made at the state offices across the country.

There will be tough competition between Shashi throor and Mallikarjun Kharge.

Kharge who is the blue eyed boy of Congress leader ship is considered the favourite  backing by senior leaders.

Result will be announced on 19th of this month.
