Dalai Lama send Condolences for Swami Smarananda Maharaj

His Holiness the Dalai Lama wrote this morning to the Rama Krishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission to express his sadness about the passing away of his spiritual elder brother, Swami Smarananda Maharaj. In His message which has also been posted on Dalai Lamas website, He wrote:-

 “I pray for him,” he wrote, “and offer my condolences to the members of the Rama Krishna Mission and his many followers.

“It is wonderful that the late Spiritual Master led a meaningful life in dedicated service to the benefit of others.

“I join the many followers and friends of the late Swami Ji in paying homage to our elder spiritual brother.”

It is to be added here that Swami Smaranananda Maharaj, president of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission, died in Kolkata on Monday evening. He was 95 and suffering from age-related ailments.

Swami Smaranananda Maharaj became the 16th president of the order in 2017.
