ED Raids Businessman Raj Kundra’s Premises in Connection with Pornography Case

Businessman Raj Kundra, husband of Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty, found himself at the center of a major investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) today. The ED conducted raids at approximately 15 locations, including Kundra’s residence in Juhu, as part of an ongoing money laundering probe. This investigation is linked to the alleged production and distribution of pornographic content through mobile applications.

Kundra, who has been under ED’s scrutiny for months, is accused of playing a central role in a scheme that involved monetizing explicit content through the now-defunct ‘Hotshots’ app. The app, which was once available on popular platforms such as Apple and Google Play, was removed after public and legal challenges.

The ED’s case suggests that Kundra used his company, Armsprime Media Pvt Ltd, to operate the app. It is further alleged that Armsprime facilitated the sale of the app to a UK-based company, Kenrin Pvt Ltd, which is said to have been responsible for uploading and streaming the explicit content. Authorities claim that the app attracted aspiring actors under the guise of casting for web series auditions, but many were allegedly pressured into performing semi-nude or nude scenes without their consent.

According to police reports, WhatsApp messages on Kundra’s phone were found to contain financial transactions related to the sale of adult films. One such conversation reportedly involved a deal to sell 119 adult films for a sum of USD 1.2 million.

Raj Kundra, however, has denied any involvement in the production of pornographic material, claiming that he is being falsely implicated in the case. He has described himself as a “scapegoat” and maintains that he had no active role in the operations linked to the adult content.
