Explosion Rocks Sector 10: Miscreants Target House, No Injuries Reported

Panic spread in Sector 10 on Wednesday evening when unidentified assailants hurled an explosive at a residence, causing significant damage. The attack took place when three suspects, arriving in an auto-rickshaw, threw the explosive device at the house, shattering windows and damaging the structure. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

Sources reveal that while one suspect launched the explosive, the other two remained inside the auto-rickshaw. The explosion prompted immediate response from local authorities, with senior police officials, including the DIG and SSP, rushing to the scene. Teams from the fire brigade and the National Disaster Response Force also arrived to manage the situation.

The house is owned by KK Malhotra, a retired college principal. At the time of the incident, Malhotra was sitting in the lawn, reading a book. Moments after he went inside, the explosion occurred. Malhotra and his family reside on the ground floor of the house, while tenants occupy the first floor.

A family member expressed confusion over the attack, stating they had no disputes with anyone and could not understand why their home was targeted.

Authorities have launched an investigation, and police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprits.
