Financial Assistance of Rs. 5.50 Crore Presented to Chief Minister’s Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023 for Flood Victims

Cheques totaling around Rs. 5.50 crore were handed over to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu as financial assistance towards the Aapda Rahat Kosh-2023 for flood victims. The generous contributions were made by various organizations and individuals to support those affected by the recent floods and torrential rains.
AD Hydro Power Limited and Malana Power project jointly donated Rs. 5 crore towards the Kosh, while other contributions included Rs. 10 lakh from Vishwa Jagriti Mission, HP, Rs. 11 lakh from Vice Chancellor Shoolini University, Prof. P.K. Khosla, and Rs. 5 lakh from the Revenue Officers Association.
Additionally, several individuals and groups also came forward to help, with donations ranging from Rs. 2.10 lakh to Rs. 2 lakh from various contributors, including Purshottam Dass from Galore of Nadaun assembly constituency of Hamirpur district, a delegation from Nadaun assembly constituency led by P.C. Verma, Gian Chand from Nadaun, and a delegation from Jama Masjid Muslim Committee.
Furthermore, Principal Molly Abraham from St. Bedes College Shimla donated Rs. 1 lakh, and Mandi Suket Truck Operators Association contributed Rs. 1 lakh to the Kosh. Numerous other organizations and individuals also made their generous donations to assist those in need during this crisis.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all the contributors for their noble gestures and extending a helping hand to the flood victims in their time of distress. The financial aid received will play a significant role in providing relief and support to those who have suffered heavy losses due to the natural calamities.
