Former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Sushil Kumar Modi, succumbed to throat cancer late on Monday night, sparking a wave of mourning in the political sphere. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav expressed their grief through tweets. Sushil Modi’s mortal remains will be flown from Delhi to Patna today, with the final rites scheduled to take place at the BJP office after reaching his residence in Rajendra Nagar. The BJP office will be the starting point for the last rites.

The mortal remains of former Deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi are being brought from Delhi to Patna today. Subsequently, his body will be taken to his residence in Rajendra Nagar, Patna, and then to the BJP office. From there, people will proceed for his final rites. BJP National President JP Nadda will also be present at Sushil Modi’s last rites. Meanwhile, CM Nitish Kumar spoke to Sushil Modi’s wife over the phone, offering his condolences.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed deep sorrow at the demise of former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, referring to him as a valuable ally and friend. He highlighted Sushil Modi’s significant role in the rise of the BJP in Bihar .
