BPL families getting pensions as per the scheme: Meera Mohanty

S.P Jerath: Nahan: While presiding over international senior citizen day district level function here Deputy Commissioner Sirmour Meera Mohanti said that Rs. 3.99 crores being sent per year under old age pension scheme in this district and 10081 senior citizens getting benefit.
D.C. said that under Indira Gandhi National old age pension schem
below poverty line (BPL) Families availing pension of Rs. 330 per month at the age crossing 60 years and after the age of 80 years they would get pension at Rs. 500/- per month. She said that function was arranged by District social justice and empowerment department District Sirmour.
