District level world Aids day celebrated at Nahan

S.P,Jerath:Nahan: District level world Aids day was celebrated at Government Girls Senior Secondary school Nahan in which girls of various schools participated they shared in declamation contest, corner play, speeches etc, about the awareness of aids.

Deputy Commissioner Sirmour Meera Mohanty who was chief Guest said in her speech that precaution are better than cure  30 the residents must take care of it. She said that State Government trying its level best to educate people to control aids. She said that financial AID being given to the school kids of those who died due to aids disease and providing free education with financial help from Rs. 300/- to Rs. 700/-  upto the age of 18 years.

District Aids Programme Officer Dr. Sanjay Sharma said that Aids programme would continue in District till December 25 and all section of society would be ducated about Aids disese.

The school students presented cultural programme in different manners about Aids disease.

Mohanty distributed prizes to the winner’s students who participated. Garima Sharma got first prize, Hem Lata second and Divyank third.
