CM APPEALS TO WORKERS FOR REPEAT OF BJP GOVERNMENT

Big challenge a head for newly elected president

Prof. Prem Kumar Dhumal, Chief Minister, gave a clarion call to the party functionaries at all level to work overtime to repeat BJP Government in December, 2012 elections followed by coming to power at the Centre in 2-14 Parliamentary elections.  He was addressing the party office bearers of all ranks and files at the Taking Over Ceremony of the newly appointed State BJP Chief, Shri Satpal Singh Satti at Party Head Office, Deep Kamal, here today. He congratulated newly elected State President on assuming the office of Party Head in the State and hoped that the Party would get strengthened under his dynamic leadership.   He said that the party workers needed to strength the Party at the grass root level to ensure stability of the government.  He said that the party functionaries needed to work in close coordination to achieve the Mission-2014 to bring BJP to Power at the Centre and State in 2012 elections.

Chief Minister said that grass root level workers were the face of the party who had direct contact with the people of respective area.  He said that there was enough for them to tell people about the spectacular developmental achievement record which had won the State record 57 National Level Awards.  He said that with the developmental and welfare oriented policies and programmes of the State Government, there had not been single family which had not been benefited under different schemes.  He said all promises made in the Election Manifesto had been fulfilled and much more had been done over and above the Manifesto.  He said that State Government successfully launched Atal Bijli Bachat Yojna, providing free four CFL bulbs to about 16.5 domestic consumers in the State and saving their electricity bill to the tune of over Rs. 110 crore in one year.  He said that the State Government was providing Rs. 166 crore subsidy on providing domestic consumers electricity at old power tarrif; Rs. 130 crore over providing subsidy on essential commodities; Rs. 85 crore over Apple Replantation Programme besides providing free ambulance service under Atal Swasthya Sewa to all irrespective of their economic and social standing; free institutional delivery service and medication facilities to mother and child. 

Prof. Dhumal said that the State Government had successfully launched Rs. 353 crore Pandit Deen Dayal Kisaan Baagwan Samridhi Yojna, Rs. 300 crore Doodh Ganga Yojna; Rs. 321 crore Crop Diversion Scheme; Bhed Palak Samridhi Yojna and a number of other schemes to strengthen the economy of the villagers engaged in their traditional avocation.  He said that for health benefit of school students, after successful completion of the first phase of  Mukhya Mantri Vidyarthi Swasthya Programme, second phase had been launched to medically examine school students and also administer them de-worming pills.  He said that the State  Government  had  also   decided to provide two pairs of school uniform named as Atal School Uniform Scheme to all the students studying in government schools from first to matric standard in each academic session free of cost irrespective of their economic status to bring about uniformity among students of different sections of the society.  He said that the social security pension which was Rs. 200 per month at the time BJP came to power in the State on December 30, 2007 was increased by Rs. 130 and now being paid at a rate of Rs. 330 per month to all eligible old people, widows and handicapped.  He said that 94,716 new pensions had been sanctioned and total of 2,77,817 pensioners were being disbursed Rs. 112 crore annually. 

Chief Minister said that there was a long list of achievements and policies which had benefited each and every section of the society which needed to be propagated amongst the electors in the State.  He said that the State Government had always been according high priority to its workers and would continue doing so in future as well.  He appealed to the workers to work in close coordination to ensure victory of the BJP in coming assembly elections.

Shri J.P.Nadda, National General Secretary, BJP, Shri Shyam Jaju, Deputy-Incharge of State BJP, Shri Satpal Singh Satti, Newly Elected State President, BJP and Shri Khimi Ram, former State BJP President, also addressed party functionaries.

Cabinet Ministers, Members of Parliament, Chief Parliamentary Secretaries, Members of Legislative Assembly, senior party functionaries from all over the State attended the ceremony.
