Fire broke out in a bank in Nahan

S.P Jerath:Nahan:-Sudden fire broke out in the building of Punjab and Sind Bank Paonta Sahib in the early morning in which the old record of the bank turned to ashes. The reason of fire is not known so far by the bank authorities. The residents residing near the bank when saw the smoke coming out of the bank building informed the fire brigade and  bank authorities  who reached on the spot and controlled the fire. In the mean time the local people threw water in the building to control the fire.                                    

Branch Manager of the bank H.S . Kalra said that a bundle of old record was burned to ashes while the computer and other electric equipments  were damaged due to the water used by the fire brigade to control the fire. He said that the cash and lockers of the bank remained safe. He said that main switch remained switched off in the evening  when bank locked. He said that there was no chance of fire due to short circuit .He said that the reason of fire being investigated by the police  as the case had been registered with Paonta police.
