Central Bank felicitate teachers on teachers day

Chandigarh: Sunita:Central Bank of India celebrated the National Teachers’ Day today by felicitating the teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya  Zirakpur.  A memento   alongwith a certificate of appreciation were presented to each and every teachers of the School, in recognition of their dedicated services as also immense contribution to nation.


Shri M.G. Batra,  and D.S. Brar Asstt. General Managers from Zonal Office presented certificate of appreciation on behalf of Bank.

While addressing the teachers, Shri Batra told that a teacher’s role was a torch bearer and pivot of any educational system of younger students. On him rests the failure or the success of the system. Teaching, in fact, is not a job, it is an attitude. Teacher is a source of information, a guide, a mentor, a motivator, all at the same time.


On this auspicious day, Central Bank of India paid  tribute to all persons connected  with this noble profession.  To meet  financial requirement of teachers, Central Bank of India has launched Cent Teacher Scheme.  Under this Scheme, loan,  20 times of gross salary subject to maximum Rs.500000.00 is given to  teacher at very competitive rate.  This loan is repaid within 48 months in equal monthly installments.

For the students, education loan is given to meritorious students at very concessional rate of interest.  For Study in India, Rs.10 lacs is given and for study in abroad Rs.20 lacs.

Even for students, who wish to join coaching classes, to appear for competitive Entrance Exam for admission in reputed institutes, Bank gives loan assistance of Rs.2 lac, per child.  The moratorium period is 3 months disbursement of loan and amount is payable within 36 months in equal monthly installments.

Shri Brar, Asstt General Manager (Marketing) assured the participants to provide door step services to all teachers and appealed to avail the banking services.
