Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan remembered on Teacher's day

Chandigarh:The birthdate, 5th September, of 2nd President of India, an academic philosopher Dr. Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan is celebrated as TEACHER’S DAY in India. It is considered a day of celebration,  where Teachers and students celebrate the day by giving thanks and remembrance.

 On this occasion 10 teachers were honoured with state award in an award function organized by Education Department Chandigarh Administration. Mr. V.K. Singh Education Secretary was the chief guest on this occasion. He awarded the teachers with state award for their commendable services to students and society. A colourful cultural programme was presented with ‘Saraswati Vandana’ by Students of GGSSS-20B, Rajasthani Dance by students of GMSSS-33, Song by music teachers of Govt. Schools of Chandigarh.  

Speaking on this occasion Sh. V.K Singh said that teacher should inculcate the sense of patriotism and social values in the mind of young students. He plays the role of nation builder by way of teaching great human values to their students.
