Minor raped for 5 months in Shillai

S.P.Jerath:Nahan :- After coming to light Delhi gang-rape and the residents of different parts of the country raised voice against this heinous crime, a minor girl of village Sharali under Shillai tehsil of Sirmaur District showed her boldness after about five months against Sher Singh (45) of same village who was raping her continuously with the threat of life and snatching the farming land of her lower caste father, registered case against him with Shillai police station on Saturday January  5  which was confirmed by
Rameshwar Thakur, Superintendent of police  District Sirmaur today.

As per statement recorded by the police at Shillai, she said that Sher Singh took her on August 14, 2012 to the maize form forcibly when she was coming from school and raped her there. She was threatened of life
if she informed to any person about it. She said that the criminal continued raping her and at one stage she became pregnant about which she informed him. On hearing this he asked her for abortion which was
followed by him. She said that recently she told the case to her mother and sister who immediately met  the Panchayat Pradhan of the area. The Panchayat Pradhan asked them to register the case with the
police and accordingly the case was registered at Shillai police station on Saturday.

Superintendent of Police District Sirmaur. Thakur said that the criminal had been arrested and the medical process of the girl was in progress to confirm the alleged crime. He said that after competing the formalities, the criminal would be produced in court to get police remand for more investigations.
