Death taken away young, honest and one of the best chief ministers of Arunachal : Tibetan PM

The Department of Religion and Culture of Central Tibetan Administration  of the Tibetan Government in Exile today organized a special prayer service over the sad demise of chief minister of Arunachal  Dorjee Khandu.

 

The abbot of Namgyal Monastery presided over the prayer service held this morning at the main temple in Mcleod Ganj. The secretary for religion and culture department, Mr Ngawang Choedak was also present.

The Press Officer of the Exiled government Lobsang Choedak also informed PTI that the condolence messages were also sent by Mr. Penpa Tsering Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile said “The last few days of the disappearance of the helicopter that he was traveling in left us confounded and we hoped and prayed for his safety. However, the confirmation of the reports of the crash of the helicopter bereft us of that hope. The Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile mourns the tragic demise of the Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu. It said that The State of Arunachal Pradesh and the Tibetan people have had historical relationship. Moreover, during the tenure of Dorjee

Khandu la's chief ministership, the bond has been deepened and strengthened.

 

In another message sent to The Chief Secretary Arunachal Pradesh the Cabinate of Tibetan

 

Government in exile (the Kashag ) condoled the sad demise of Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu. Prime Minister  Prof Samdhong Rinpoche expressed "deep sadness and

worry about the tragic demise of a young, honest and one of the best chief ministers of Arunachal.” He said that the death of Khandu  is a great loss to both the Tibetans and the people of Arunachal
