Speaking at the books launching function at main Buddhist temple, Tsuglagkhang on Tuesday  , Shanta Said,“Dalai lama is spreading the message of peace through Budhism in the world, and I demand the government of India to honor Dalai Lama with Bharat Ratna .”

Earlier  Tibetan spiritual leader the 14th Dalai Lama released  three books, ‘Red shadow on Himalaya’ written by senior BJP leader Shanta Kumar, ‘if Autumn comes’ written by Santosh Shailza, wife of Shanta Kumar and  ‘self reliance leader Shanta Kumar’ written by Hem Raj. Hundreds of people including Tibetans, Indians and foreigners gather this morning at the main Buddhist temple, Tsuglagkhang to mark the event.

Criticizing  China , Shanta said.” The attack by China in 1962 was very unfortunate for India and Indian army was defeated… after fifty years the situation is worse today. China has become powerful and has friendship with Pakistan so now it’s a burning more than that era, that’s why we have again published this issue after fifty years and since this issue is also related with the Dalai Lama so it is released  by him… the injustice with Tibet is the biggest tragedy in the world and UNO and world nations should do something for it…”

Shata said that it is really a matter of pride for him and his family that the books are being released by such a personality living in  Dharamshala
