Many payed last respect to the departed leader,State funeral at 4:30 PM

Hundreds and thousands of supporters queued up to have a last glimpse of their 'Puratchi Thalaivi Amma' (Revolutionary Leader Amma) at Rajaji Hall.Draped in her favourite green colour saree, Jayalalithaa's body was taken from her Poes Garden residence early Tuesday morning to Rajaji Hall. She will be given state funeral at 4.30 PM at Marina beach in Chennai.

President Pranab Mukherjee and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to pay last respects to the departed Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa in Chennai. Former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi are also expected to visit Rajaji hall.

Jaya’s body has been moved to Rajaji Hall on Tuesday morning in a motorcade carrying the Tricolour-draped mortal remains from her Poes garden residence.

Information and Broadcasting Minister M Venkaiah Naidu who reached Chennai on Monday night paid tributes to the departed CM and spoke to senior members of AIADMK.

Tamil Nadu government has made all arrangements for cremation at Marina beach at 4.30 PM today next to MGR Samadhi.

Mean-while Tamil Nadu government has declared seven days of state mourning.
