Shimla MP demands trauma centre in HP largest industrial Hub

Shimla  Member Parliament Sh Virender Kashyap today requested Union Health Minister Sh J.P.Nadda to  open a trauma  center in  Himachal largest industrial hub namely  Baddi -Barotiwala Nalagarh BBN area of  solan district of the shimla parliamentary constituency  to provide emergency health care facilities to the accident victims .

He met   Union Health Minister Sh J.P.Nadda today in Parliament House  and told him that 66 precious lives were lost and 196 persons were injured  in 168    road accidents in this area during the year 2017-2018 while 41  precious lives were lost and 148 persons were injured in  upto Nov 2018 in  121  road accidents in  Baddi -Barotiwala Nalagarh BBN area of  solan district.He told that state govt has provided Rs 5.44 crore as compensation to kin of deceased road victims and  those injured in various road accidents in the area .

The  area has witnessed   massive industrial  growth  in recent  years  due to industrial package sanctioned  by NDA Govt . He told that there has been multiple increase in population and traffic due to industrialization  which has led to  various accidents /mishaps in the region from time to time . He told union minister that area lacks basic emergency health services to provide health care facilities to save precious lives and trauma centre will cater to demands of adjoining bilaspur in Himachal and Ropar district of Punjab 

Shimla  Member Parliament Sh Virender Kashyap told union minister that that hundreds of lives are lost due to accidents in this area especially from Pinjore to Nalagarh where heavy traffic takes place  daily and demanded emergency medical services / well equipped ambulance services with life support equipments in this deadly road stretch to provide immediate health care services to accident victims and  transport them to nearest hospitals like PGI Chandigarh . He reminded union minister of his public announcement regarding opening of Trauma Centre in the area and requested him to provide immediate sanction for  setting up trauma centre at the industrial area .

 Union Health Minister Sh J.P.Nadda assured MP that the case of opening of trauma centre at the area is under active consideration of the union  health ministry and positive decision in this direction will be announced shortly
