Government to work for the welfare of the people, first budget of Sukh government
In his first the state chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu today presented the state budget for the financial year of 2023 – 2024.The Himachal Pradesh State has the debt of Rs75,000 crore,
To the women’s of the state, the Congress party has promised the monthly payout,this promise is full filled.
Initially in the first leg around 2,31,000 women will get rupees 1,500 per month.
The total cost to this payout will be rupees 416 crore per year to the state .
In the past Sukhu has emphasised for the electric vehicle and in this regard the state will focus more. Around rupees 1000 crore has been set aside for the replacement of 1500 diesel buses.
Also state government will give subsidy on the purchase of an electric scooter.
Kangra is the largest district of the state and cater more vidhan sabha seats in the state will be developed as a tourist hub. This will increase the tourist flow and will also give boost to the tourism.
It is to note that so far there is not even single cabinet minister representing the district and loksabha elections are due by 2024. Sukhu government has to look into this.
Also government has levied Cow cess’ of Rs10 per bottle on the sale of liquor bottles, this will help the government to get around Rs 100 crore of revenue every year.

Health care is another area where state lacks and to this the government has decided to improve this area also. To start with the robotic technology’ to be upgraded in all five medical colleges and that casualty wards being upgraded to emergency medicine department.
Sukhu in his speech said that, time has come to save the Horticulture of the state and measures will be taken to free the Horticulturist from the clutches of middlemen.
Regarding to implement the old pension scheme, in total around 1.36 employees of the state will be benefited.
He said that Government will work for the benefit and welfare of the State, and they will work on this.
Also the honorarium of MNREGA workers is increased to Rs 240 earlier which was Rs 212.
