Gurjeet Singh Aujla Urges CM Bhagwant Mann to Focus on Solutions for Deportation Issue, Not Blame

Amritsar, (Rahul Soni) – In a recent statement, Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla advised Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to focus on finding solutions to the issue of Indians being deported from foreign countries rather than casting blame on others. Aujla, in his remarks, emphasized the importance of addressing the core issues surrounding the deportation crisis, urging the state government to work toward resolving the problem rather than pointing fingers.

Aujla particularly responded to CM Bhagwant Mann’s comments, in which he claimed that the arrival of deported Indians by flight in Amritsar was tarnishing Punjab’s reputation. Aujla countered this by saying that there are much deeper issues in Punjab, such as the rampant drug abuse, illegal activities like extortion, gambling, and fake products that are already damaging the state’s image. He stressed that the focus should be on resolving these challenges instead of focusing on the deportation issue alone.

The MP suggested that the state government should focus on the rehabilitation and reintegration of the deported individuals into society, as many of them had invested large sums of money in hopes of a better future abroad, only to return to their homeland under distressing circumstances. He pointed out that these individuals should be provided with opportunities for employment and integration into the workforce, enabling them to contribute to both their own progress and the development of the nation.

Aujla also raised the important issue of why so many youths are compelled to leave the country. He questioned the inability of both the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) governments to address the root causes of migration, emphasizing that both parties frequently blame previous administrations for failing to solve problems, yet now it is their responsibility to fix the situation. According to Aujla, the government needs to focus on improving infrastructure and creating opportunities within Punjab so that the youth no longer feel the need to migrate abroad.

The MP also suggested that a broader, collective approach involving all political parties would be more beneficial in addressing this issue. He proposed that if the Chief Minister is unable to meet with the Prime Minister, then a meeting with senior political leaders across all parties should be called to collectively find a solution to the migration crisis. Aujla argued that migration is not only a problem for Punjab, but for the entire nation, as people from various states are seeking opportunities abroad, including countries like the UAE and Dubai, for labor work.

Aujla pointed out that while the Chief Minister views the return of the youth as a problem, the real issue lies in the inability to provide sufficient infrastructure and opportunities within the state, prompting youth to leave. He further suggested that the Prime Minister should consider sending a chartered plane to bring back these individuals and provide them with the necessary support for reintegration into society.

He also criticized the narrative being built around the deportation flights, stating that the focus should not solely be on the news angle of the situation, but rather on finding long-term solutions to prevent such migration and providing meaningful support for those returning. Aujla emphasized the importance of strengthening the nation’s infrastructure and creating a conducive environment that prevents youth from feeling forced to leave in search of better opportunities abroad.
