 Haryana Accelerates Project Completion with Innovative Land Bank Initiative

Haryana’s Chief Minister, Mr. Naib Singh, has announced that the state’s land bank, created from voluntarily offered land on the e-Bhoomi portal, will help expedite the completion of various projects.  This unique initiative, the first of its kind in the country, aims to streamline land acquisition for government schemes.

During a meeting of the High Powered Land Purchase Committee, the Chief Minister praised individuals like Ramehar, who donated 2.8 acres of land free of cost for a water tank project in Baroli village, Jind district. [1] Such acts of generosity set an exemplary example in the society, he said.

The Chief Minister discussed the land offered by landowners on the e-Bhoomi portal in districts such as Ambala, Bhiwani, Hisar, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Sirsa, and Sonipat.  He directed officials to inspect the land and ensure its suitability for various projects, including a ROB service road on Adampur to Dadouli road in Hisar district, a new road from Jind-Barwala road to Rakhigarhi Museum in Hisar district, and a new bypass in Kosli town of Rewari district.

The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of avoiding damage to forest areas and directed that new saplings be planted to compensate for any trees that need to be cut for project development.  This commitment to environmental sustainability underscores Haryana’s holistic approach to infrastructure development.

The meeting was attended by senior government officials, including the Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretaries, and Deputy Commissioners of various districts, who were connected through video conferencing.
