Haryana Budget 2025-26 to Include Key Suggestions from Ministers and MLAs: CM Nayab Singh Saini

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that the upcoming state budget for the financial year 2025-26 will incorporate significant suggestions provided by ministers and MLAs. The two-day “Pre-Budget Consultation” meeting, held in Panchkula, concluded on March 4 with active participation from ministers, legislators, and senior administrative officials. The focus of the consultations was to gather valuable insights and suggestions to frame an inclusive budget aimed at ensuring prosperity for every citizen of Haryana.

Addressing the meeting, CM Saini, who also holds the Finance portfolio, expressed gratitude to the ministers and MLAs for their meaningful contributions. He assured that all suggestions would be carefully considered and included in the upcoming budget to accelerate sustainable development in the state. The Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to presenting a budget that caters to the aspirations and needs of every citizen, ensuring equitable growth across all sectors.

The Chief Minister encouraged legislators to submit their proposals in writing, highlighting that every valuable suggestion would be reviewed to speed up the ongoing “non-stop” development in the state. He reiterated the government’s resolve to craft a budget that reflects the aspirations of the people of Haryana while prioritizing holistic growth and development.

During the consultation, CM Saini thanked all ministers, legislators, and officials for their contributions. Key areas highlighted in the discussions included improvements in road infrastructure, sports facilities, water supply, electricity, transport, industrial development, optimal utilization of government properties, promotion of natural farming practices, eradication of drug networks, rehabilitation of addicts, equitable irrigation water distribution, digitalization of government departments, housing facilities for officials, combating cybercrime, capacity building, and traffic management. The Chief Minister emphasized the need for a balanced approach to address these diverse areas effectively.

To ensure that the budget aligns with the expectations of the public, the state government has been actively engaging with various stakeholders over the past few days. A series of pre-budget consultation meetings were organized with different groups, including industry leaders and manufacturers in Gurugram, farmers and agricultural scientists in Hisar, youth and startup entrepreneurs in Kurukshetra, influential and entrepreneurial women in Panchkula, textile industry representatives in Panipat, and manufacturing stakeholders in Faridabad. The objective was to gather a wide range of perspectives to shape a comprehensive and inclusive budget.

In a bid to make the budget-making process more participatory, the Haryana government also launched an innovative initiative, inviting suggestions from the public through an online portal. So far, over 10,000 suggestions have been received, reflecting the citizens’ active involvement and interest in the state’s fiscal planning. This move has been appreciated as a step towards transparency and inclusivity in governance.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the state government is committed to presenting a budget that fosters inclusive growth and addresses the needs of every section of society. By incorporating diverse suggestions from stakeholders, the government aims to build a prosperous Haryana where development reaches every corner of the state.

The pre-budget consultation meeting was attended by Haryana Assembly Speaker Harvinder Kalyan, ministers, MLAs, Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Chief Principal Secretary to the CM Rajesh Khullar, and other senior officials of the state government. Their collective insights and recommendations are expected to play a pivotal role in shaping the upcoming budget, which promises to focus on inclusive growth, infrastructure development, and the overall welfare of the people of Haryana.
