Haryana Chief Minister Praises Union Budget 2024 for Economic Growth and Welfare Advancements
In a resounding endorsement, Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Naib Singh Saini hailed the Union Budget 2024 as a transformative milestone poised to uplift India into a developed nation, fulfilling the aspirations of diverse segments including the poor, women, farmers, and youth. The budget, presented under the leadership of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, is touted to fortify the national economy and propel development to unprecedented heights. Emphasizing its broad-reaching benefits, the Chief Minister lauded Finance Minister Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman for her innovative approach in fostering agricultural profitability, bolstering industrial growth, and generating employment opportunities. Significant allocations towards agricultural research, particularly for 32 agricultural and 109 horticultural varieties tailored to local climates, are expected to greatly benefit agrarian states like Haryana. Highlighting the budget’s focus on promoting natural farming practices, which reduce reliance on chemical inputs, the Chief Minister underscored its potential to lower production costs while ensuring environmentally sustainable practices and higher quality produce. Moreover, initiatives aimed at enhancing storage and marketing facilities for pulses and oilseeds are poised to boost income diversification efforts among Haryana’s farmers. The budget’s provisions also include substantial support for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), including expanded loan guarantee schemes and increased Mudra loan limits, which are anticipated to empower small entrepreneurs and stimulate labor-intensive manufacturing sectors. Addressing unemployment, the Chief Minister welcomed the introduction of three new employment schemes, notably the provision of one month’s salary through EPFO for newly employed youth, benefiting approximately 210 lakh individuals. Additionally, the enhanced PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme, offering free electricity up to 300 units and supported by state and central subsidies totaling Rs 1 lakh, promises significant relief to impoverished households in Haryana. This comprehensive budget, infused with developmental vision and welfare measures, is poised to set a new benchmark in India’s economic growth trajectory, reinforcing the government’s commitment to inclusive progress and sustainable development. #UnionBudget2024 #EconomicGrowth #WelfareInitiatives #HaryanaDevelopment
