Haryana Chief Secretary Presides Over HKRN Board Meeting, Sets Direction for Workforce Planning
Chandigarh, July 22—Haryana’s Chief Secretary, Mr. T.V.S.N. Prasad, recently chaired the 7th Board Meeting of the Haryana Skill Development and Employment Corporation (HKRN), emphasizing the need for a comprehensive job list to meet various departmental skill requirements. The meeting was aimed at enhancing the corporation’s professional approach and expediting manpower needs.
Job List Development: Mr. Prasad instructed the HKRN to actively engage with administrative secretaries to prepare an extensive list of job opportunities. This initiative is intended to address the skill needs across different government departments and sectors efficiently.
Immediate Recruitment Plans: HKRN is set to recruit 13,500 personnel for various departments. This move is in response to growing demands from different sectors for skilled manpower.
International Recruitment: The HKRN is in the process of acquiring a recruitment agent license under the Ministry of External Affairs, which will enable it to facilitate job placements for youth seeking employment abroad. Through the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), HKRN has already selected 228 candidates for international placements.
Future Workforce Planning: The corporation plans to understand future manpower requirements in the private sector and foreign markets. Training will be provided through the Haryana Skill Development Mission and Shri Vishwakarma Skill University to enhance the employability of the state’s youth.
Reducing Commission Burden: HKRN aims to alleviate the financial burden of hefty commissions charged by private agents for overseas job placements. The HKRN portal is designed to connect job seekers with government, private, and overseas employers, simplifying the job search process.
Current Achievements: The HKRN has successfully deployed 125,000 personnel across various departments, boards, corporations, and universities, including over 36,000 from Scheduled Castes and more than 34,700 from Other Backward Classes. Additionally, the corporation has finalized 51 new job roles related to health, mining, medical education, and forensic labs.
Future Developments: HKRN will soon establish an office building in Sector 5, MDC, Panchkula, to enhance its operational capacity.
