Haryana CM Emphasizes Skill Development for Youth Empowerment and Employment
Chandigarh, August 13 – Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini is placing a strong emphasis on empowering youth through employment and self-employment initiatives, alongside the establishment of skill development institutions to meet the manpower demands of industries. In a significant move today, the Chief Minister distributed appointment letters to 3,770 Group D employees and 104 TGT Punjabi teachers in a single ceremony. Over the past decade, a remarkable 144,874 youths have secured government jobs in the state. Additionally, the jobs of 120,000 employees working under outsourcing services and the Haryana Skill Employment Corporation have been safeguarded.
Responding to the request of Pataudi MLA Satyaprakash Jaravata for trained manpower and employment opportunities in industrial areas like Gurugram, IMT Manesar, Rewari, and Dharuhera, the Chief Minister approved a proposal to establish a polytechnic institute in Mau Lokri village. He further directed officials to explore the possibility of setting up an Industrial Training Institute (ITI) instead of a polytechnic in the area, to better align with the local industrial needs.
In addition, the Chief Minister has approved the upgrade of the 200-bed Civil Hospital in Gurugram to a 700-bed facility, with an administrative budget of ₹989.94 crores allocated for the expansion.
