The Haryana government is working towards making registry based on property ID. In the first phase, Sonipat and Karnal districts have been taken. This was announced by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar while replying to a question during the Question Hour on the second day of the budget session of the Haryana Assembly.

The Chief Minister said that earlier there was a provision of three categories in the revenue record – urban area, rural area and other area. The property record in the urban area was maintained by the local body and in the rural area by the concerned department. However, the provision of other area created a loophole. Due to this provision of other area, some people used to get the registries done in some way or the other. But the present state government has now abolished this provision of other area, so some people are facing problems.

He said that property ID is only the identification of the property, but not the proof of ownership. Under the ongoing large scale mapping project in the state, mapping is being done in the urban areas and after verification with the revenue record, this data will become authentic. After that, there will be no need for intkal and the registries will be done on the basis of property ID only.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar remains at the center of various developments unfolding in the state, making headlines for several key initiatives and announcements during the ongoing budget session of the Haryana Assembly. Here’s a summarized overview of his recent actions:

  • The Assembly session witnessed tributes paid to former MLA Banarsi Das Chaushala, with CM Khattar expressing condolences to the bereaved family.
  • A resolution congratulating the Indian Army for their successful surgical strike received unanimous approval, showcasing support for the nation’s defense forces.

3. Proposed Visit to Ayodhya:

  • Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij requested CM Khattar to organize a visit to Ayodhya for all MLAs, enabling them to pay homage at the Ram Lalla Temple.
  • This proposal highlights the significance of religious and cultural significance for certain segments of the state’s population.

These actions by CM Khattar and the Haryana Assembly reflect their focus on various aspects of governance, including property rights, legislative proceedings, and cultural considerations. The upcoming implementation of the property ID-based registry system and the potential visit to Ayodhya will be keenly observed for their impact on the state’s residents.

  • Property ID based registry:

Property records in urban areas were maintained by local bodies and in rural areas by the concerned department. However, the provision of other area created a loophole. Due to this provision, some people used to get registries done in some way or the other. But the present state government has now abolished the provision of other area, due to which some people are facing problems.

  • Property ID is not a proof of ownership:

The Chief Minister clarified that property ID is only an identification of the property and not a proof of ownership. Under the ongoing large scale mapping project, mapping is being done in urban areas and after verification with revenue records, this data will become authentic.
