Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini Urges Citizens to Hoist the Tricolor Under ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign, Flags Off Tiranga Yatra from Kalka Mandi
Chandigarh, August 12: In a spirited appeal to the people of Haryana, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini called upon citizens to actively participate in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign initiated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Speaking at a public event in Kalka, Panchkula district, the Chief Minister emphasized that the tricolor symbolizes the pride and honor of the nation, and it is the collective responsibility of every citizen to uphold its dignity.
The Chief Minister urged the people of Haryana to display the national flag at their homes and establishments as part of this nationwide campaign. He highlighted that this gesture is a tribute to the brave hearts who sacrificed their lives for India’s freedom and a step towards realizing the vision of a new India as envisaged by the freedom fighters.
In a patriotic display, CM Naib Singh Saini flagged off the Tiranga Yatra from Kalka Mandi, which proceeded to the historic Shri Kali Mata Temple in Kalka. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the local community, with citizens and children showering the Chief Minister with flowers along the route. The atmosphere was charged with patriotism as chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” echoed through the streets.
Before the Yatra commenced, the Chief Minister offered prayers and sought blessings at the Shri Kali Mata Temple, followed by a visit to the local Gurudwara Sahib, where he paid his respects.
During his address, CM Naib Singh Saini reflected on the significance of Independence Day, stating that August 15 is not just a day of celebration but also a day to remember the sacrifices made by countless revolutionaries and martyrs. He stressed that the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign is a way for citizens to honor the memory of these brave souls who laid down their lives for the nation’s freedom.
The Chief Minister also lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047. He expressed pride in the fact that every citizen of Haryana is contributing wholeheartedly to this mission, playing their part in shaping the nation’s future.
Highlighting the role of Haryana in the nation’s development, CM Saini noted that the state’s residents are actively participating in various initiatives aimed at realizing the Prime Minister’s vision. He commended the people of Haryana for their enthusiastic involvement in the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign, which not only fosters national pride but also strengthens the spirit of unity and patriotism.
The Chief Minister also spoke about the numerous welfare schemes introduced by Prime Minister Modi for the benefit of all sections of society. He specifically mentioned the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign, a significant step towards environmental conservation. Under this initiative, citizens are encouraged to plant at least one tree on occasions like birthdays, anniversaries, or other family celebrations and to take responsibility for nurturing it. CM Saini urged the people of Haryana to actively participate in this campaign, emphasizing that planting and protecting trees is a vital step towards preserving the environment for future generations.
CM Saini also praised Prime Minister Modi for elevating India’s ancient yoga tradition to global prominence. He highlighted the importance of yoga in promoting physical and mental well-being and acknowledged the Prime Minister’s efforts in making International Yoga Day a global phenomenon. This recognition, he said, is a matter of pride for every Indian and reflects the rich cultural heritage of the country.
The event in Kalka saw the participation of several dignitaries, including former legislator Smt. Latika Sharma, senior leader Smt. Banto Kataria, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Yash Garg, Deputy Commissioner of Police Himadri Kaushik, and SDM Kalka Lakshat Sarin, among others. The Chief Minister, along with officials from various departments such as the Municipal Corporation, Public Health, Irrigation, PWD, and Urban Development Authority, conducted a comprehensive review of areas affected by waterlogging in Kalka, ensuring that effective measures were in place to address the issue.
The Chief Minister assured the public that the administration is fully committed to resolving waterlogging issues and will take all necessary steps to mitigate the impact of heavy rains in the region. He emphasized the need for coordinated efforts among different departments to ensure prompt and effective water drainage in affected areas.
