Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to inclusive and balanced development, aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ and ‘Haryana Ek, Haryanvi Ek.’ Speaking at a public event in the Jagadhri Assembly constituency of Yamunanagar district, the Chief Minister emphasized that Haryana is playing a crucial role in achieving the Prime Minister’s goal of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India). He stated that Haryana’s progress would go hand in hand with the overall development of the nation.
Addressing a large gathering, CM Saini took a strong stance against the opposition, accusing them of misleading the public during the elections by questioning the BJP-led government’s achievements. Highlighting the state’s rapid progress over the last decade, he pointed out that approximately ₹707 crore had been spent on development projects in the Jagadhri constituency alone, whereas the previous Congress government allocated only ₹351 crore over its tenure. The Chief Minister assured the people that there would be no shortage of resources for development, and the third term of the BJP government would witness an accelerated pace of growth and welfare initiatives.
Focusing on infrastructure improvements, CM Saini highlighted key projects that have significantly boosted connectivity and public amenities. The construction of the Yamunanagar-Panchkula National Highway (NH-73) at a cost of ₹1,112 crore has strengthened road infrastructure. Additionally, new administrative units such as the Pratap Nagar sub-tehsil and the Chhachhrauli subdivision were established for better governance. The construction of a new canal from Dadupur to Hamida Head, with an investment of ₹275 crore, is underway, while a ₹146 crore diaphragm wall is being built at Hathnikund Barrage to improve water management.
Tourism is also being promoted in the region, with the renovation and beautification of a park near the Hathnikund Barrage, completed at a cost of ₹11.58 crore. The government has allocated ₹177.56 crore for roads, bridges, buildings, and market infrastructure in the Jagadhri constituency. Furthermore, Khizrabad has been renamed Pratap Nagar, and a new bus stand was constructed there at a cost of ₹1.2 crore, improving public transport facilities.
BJP Has Redefined Indian Politics Under PM Modi’s Leadership
During his speech, CM Saini credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership for transforming Indian politics and ensuring equitable development across Haryana and the entire nation. Referring to the recent Delhi Assembly elections, he noted that the public had endorsed the BJP’s governance model by electing the party to power once again. He stated that under PM Modi’s leadership, Haryana has witnessed unprecedented development over the past decade.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that the people of Haryana would continue to support the BJP in upcoming local elections, just as they did in the general elections. With the ongoing municipal elections in the state, he assured that once these polls conclude, the government would work at three times the current pace to propel Haryana further on the path of progress.
The event was attended by several prominent leaders, including Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana, Haryana BJP President Mohan Lal Badoli, MLA Ghanshyam Arora, and former minister Kanwar Pal, among other dignitaries.
