Haryana CM Reduces Patwari Training Period to One Year, Announces Training Period to Be Counted in Service

In a significant move aimed at empowering newly recruited patwaris and ensuring their smooth integration into the administrative framework, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced the reduction of the training period for newly appointed patwaris from one and a half years to one year. Speaking at the state-level conference held in Panchkula for 2605 newly selected patwaris, the Chief Minister declared that the training period would now be counted as part of their service tenure, marking a progressive step in their professional journey. He further emphasized that the services of the patwaris would officially commence from the date of joining the department, underscoring the government’s commitment to streamlining administrative processes and enhancing efficiency.

Addressing the conference, the Chief Minister extended his congratulations to the newly appointed patwaris and highlighted the historic nature of the recruitment process, which saw the induction of 2605 patwaris in a single recruitment drive for the first time in Haryana’s history. Urging the recruits to uphold the values of honesty, transparency, and dedication, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of effective communication with the public and swift resolution of their grievances. He encouraged the adoption of technological and administrative innovations to simplify departmental procedures and improve public service delivery.

Reflecting on the transformation in the state’s recruitment system, the Chief Minister lauded the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for fostering a corruption-free environment where merit and hard work are rewarded. He contrasted the current transparent recruitment practices with the earlier regimes where corruption and favoritism were rampant, often leaving deserving candidates deprived of opportunities. The Chief Minister recalled how in previous administrations, job lists would be leaked even before official announcements, creating distrust among the youth. Under the current government, job aspirants no longer need to approach politicians or officials for employment, as merit-based recruitment has become the norm. This revolutionary shift has instilled a sense of trust among the youth, ensuring equal opportunities for all based on their qualifications and efforts.

The Chief Minister reiterated his commitment to delivering on promises made during the assembly elections, citing the successful onboarding of 24,000 youth in government jobs before his second term began. He expressed pride in the government’s ability to restore faith among the youth, who now believe that education and merit determine success rather than political connections.

Highlighting the critical role of patwaris in the agricultural sector, the Chief Minister noted their responsibility in ensuring accurate reporting during natural disasters such as floods, droughts, or hailstorms. He pointed out that modern tools like drones and satellite technology have revolutionized the assessment process, enabling precise data collection. Patwaris, he emphasized, play a pivotal role in providing the government with accurate figures to facilitate timely and fair compensation to affected farmers. This ensures that the rightful beneficiaries receive the aid they deserve while eliminating discrepancies in the distribution of relief funds.

The Chief Minister concluded by reminding the patwaris that their role transcends being a mere job, emphasizing that it is a public service. He expressed confidence that their dedication, diligence, and integrity would significantly contribute to Haryana’s development and set new benchmarks for public administration.
