Haryana Drives Change with Focus on Gender Equality and Development Under CM Naib Singh Saini

Chandigarh, January 22: Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to eliminating gender discrimination and empowering women through transformative initiatives. Speaking to journalists, he highlighted the state’s remarkable progress under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign, a flagship program launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2015. The campaign, which began in Panipat, has been instrumental in improving the state’s sex ratio from 861 in 2014 to 910 today, reflecting a decade of persistent efforts.

The Chief Minister emphasized that providing education and opportunities for girls remains a top priority for the government. He noted that women sarpanches in villages have been appointed as ambassadors to spearhead initiatives that further improve the sex ratio and empower women at the grassroots level. These measures are aimed at eradicating gender-based social evils and ensuring equal rights for all.

In the context of broader development, CM Saini underscored Haryana’s achievements in improving water access across the state. He recalled that before 2014, women in Haryana often walked miles to fetch water. However, under the BJP-led government, clean water is now being delivered to every household, reflecting the efficiency of the “double engine” government led by Prime Minister Modi. CM Saini assured that similar transformations could be achieved in Delhi if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) comes to power, pledging clean drinking water for every home.

Speaking on political issues, the Chief Minister criticized Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of failing to deliver on his promises to Delhi’s citizens. He pointed to the lack of clean water in the capital and alleged corruption in the health sector, citing a recent CAG report. CM Saini claimed that the BJP, under PM Modi’s leadership, is poised to secure a decisive victory in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections, with Haryana BJP workers playing a pivotal role in ensuring this success.

The Chief Minister also took the opportunity to highlight Haryana’s inclusive approach to governance, noting that suggestions for the state’s 2025-26 budget are being collected from various stakeholders, including women, entrepreneurs, farmers, and self-help groups. He assured that these inputs would be integrated into the final budget to address the needs of every section of society.

CM Saini contrasted the BJP’s focus on development and governance with the alleged self-serving politics of the Congress and AAP. He accused both parties of corruption and prioritizing their own interests over public welfare. His remarks underscored the BJP’s commitment to transparent governance and its dedication to uplifting the lives of ordinary citizens through sustainable and impactful policies.

With its sustained focus on gender equality, infrastructure development, and efficient governance, Haryana under CM Naib Singh Saini continues to set an example of progressive leadership and inclusive development, promising a brighter future for its citizens.
