 Haryana Government Announces Development Initiatives at Maharaja Daksha Prajapati Jayanti Function

Chandigarh, July 20 – At the state-level Maharaja Daksha Prajapati Jayanti function in Hisar under the Sant Mahapurush Samman and Vichar Prachar Prasar Yojana, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini announced several key initiatives for the region. The Chief Minister revealed plans to include Arya Nagar and Kaimri villages in the Mahagram Yojana and proposed the construction of a community center in Arya Nagar named after Dr. B. R. Ambedkar. Additionally, an Urban Health Center will be established near Gangwa Road, Saket Colony Community Center. A 15 kW solar system and a digital library will be installed at Guru Daksh ITI, Arya Nagar Hisar, and a special pipeline will address drinking water issues. A budget of Rs 21 lakh has been approved for a shed in Kumhar Dharamshala Prem Nagar Hisar, and the Haryana Mitti Kala Board’s budget will be increased. The Chief Minister assured that the backlog of BC-A in government jobs would be filled soon. Infrastructure improvements include the construction of a road from Sapra Hospital to Bypass Rajgarh Road and a 6 km Haryana State Marketing Board road from Talwandi Rukka to Chanana. Remodelling work from Chaudhariwas Sub Minor Burji number 11300 to 18600 tail will also be undertaken, and half an acre of land at 50 percent collector rate will be allocated for a Kumhar Dharamshala in Fatehabad district. Highlighting Maharaja Daksha Prajapati’s historical significance, the Chief Minister praised his artistic contributions and emphasized the importance of converting traditional skills into professional skills in the modern era. He encouraged the Prajapati community to create decorative items alongside traditional pottery to tap into the international market. The Haryana government is committed to the welfare and upliftment of backward classes, implementing various schemes to ensure equal rights and opportunities. The income limit for the creamy layer has been increased from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh, and BC-A has been given 8 percent representation in Panchayati Raj institutions. The Chief Minister criticized the opposition for neglecting the rights of backward classes and assured that the current government is dedicated to their advancement. Health Minister Dr. Kamal Gupta highlighted the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat scheme, which has provided Rs 2000 crore worth of treatment to state residents. He also mentioned other welfare schemes such as Mukhyamantri Gramin Awas Yojana, Mukhyamantri Shahri Awas Yojana, and the Happy Card Scheme. Deputy Speaker of Haryana Assembly, Ranbir Gangwa, thanked the Chief Minister for celebrating Maharaja Daksha Prajapati’s birth anniversary at the government level, marking a first for the state. The event witnessed participation from various dignitaries, including MLAs and former ministers, and a large gathering of the Prajapati community.
