Haryana Government’s *Nayab* Initiative: Problem Resolution Camps to Begin from October 22 in Urban Bodies
Chandigarh, October 20 – In a landmark decision aimed at addressing the concerns of the common citizens efficiently, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has directed the initiation of “Samadhan Shivirs” or Problem Resolution Camps across urban local bodies from October 22. The decision was taken during a comprehensive review meeting with the officials from the Department of Urban Local Bodies and Panchayati Raj held at Sant Kabir Kutir in Chandigarh. This new initiative reflects the government’s commitment to improving the governance experience and offering direct solutions to the public’s day-to-day problems.
During the meeting, the Chief Minister emphasized that all officers from the urban local bodies and Panchayati departments must dedicate their mornings, from 9 AM to 11 AM, to sit in their respective offices and personally address the grievances of the general public. This effort aims to streamline the process of problem-solving, making it easier for citizens to access solutions without delay. The Chief Minister instructed that a framework for these camps be finalized soon through another meeting led by the Chief Secretary. This proactive move ensures that both departments will work in tandem to deliver seamless services to the public.
The problem resolution camps will primarily focus on issues related to property IDs, a matter that has caused much inconvenience to property owners in the state. Urban Local Bodies will conduct these camps at every ward and ULB office, ensuring widespread accessibility. Similarly, the Panchayati Raj department will hold these camps at the BDPO (Block Development and Panchayat Office) level, extending the outreach into rural regions. The camps will run for a full month, allowing ample time for citizens to have their issues addressed.
In addition, another significant decision was taken during the meeting. On October 24, a key review meeting will be held at 9 AM in Chandigarh, where Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini will personally assess the progress of ongoing development works. All Municipal Commissioners, Joint Commissioners of Urban Local Bodies, and Executive Officers from various municipal bodies will be in attendance, ensuring that the process of governance remains robust and transparent.
This latest decision to implement problem resolution camps is part of a broader strategy being adopted by the government under the leadership of Chief Minister Saini to enhance the administrative machinery’s efficiency and responsiveness. Instructing officials to craft a development blueprint for future requirements, he stressed the need for attentively listening to the problems and concerns of the public and providing them with swift resolutions. The Chief Minister further reviewed the work of the Panchayati Raj department, directing officials to accelerate stalled development projects in the rural areas of the state.
This initiative comes just as Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, after taking the oath of office, has made a clear mark as a leader in action mode, consistently making decisions in the best interest of the citizens of Haryana. With the introduction of these Samadhan Shivirs, the Haryana government is clearly demonstrating its dedication to bridging the gap between the administration and the people, ensuring that governance remains accessible, transparent, and citizen-friendly.
