Haryana’s Unprecedented Development Under BJP Rule: CM Nayab Singh Saini

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has asserted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government in Haryana has propelled the state towards unprecedented and comprehensive development. Since coming into power in 2014, Haryana has witnessed significant transformations in infrastructure and welfare programs. The chief minister emphasized that the people of the state can visibly experience these changes, marking a sharp contrast between the pre-2014 era and the present.

Speaking at a press conference following a cabinet meeting in Chandigarh, CM Nayab Singh Saini highlighted the BJP government’s commitment to ensuring holistic progress across all sectors. He was accompanied by Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana, Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma, and the Director General of Information, Public Relations, Language, and Culture, K. Makarand Pandurang. Addressing a question on the municipal elections, the chief minister stated that the government is fully prepared for the upcoming urban local body elections.

Public Outrage Against Aam Aadmi Party in Delhi

During the press conference, CM Nayab Singh Saini pointed out the growing discontent among Delhi residents towards the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government. He revealed that during election campaigns in Delhi, people expressed their disappointment at being deprived of the benefits of the Ayushman Bharat health scheme. Instead, the Delhi government confined them to Mohalla Clinics, which only provide basic first-aid services. The lack of substantial healthcare benefits under the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi has frustrated the public, exposing AAP’s failure to deliver on its promises.

According to the chief minister, for the last ten years, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has only misled the people with empty assurances, failing to provide real benefits. As a result, there is mounting resentment against the AAP government, and this dissatisfaction is expected to be reflected in the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5. CM Nayab Singh Saini also mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has pledged to extend the Ayushman Bharat scheme in Delhi, ensuring free medical treatment worth up to ₹10 lakh for underprivileged residents.

Zero Tolerance Towards Corruption in Haryana

Reaffirming the Haryana government’s strong stance against corruption, CM Nayab Singh Saini declared that there would be no compromises when it comes to tackling corrupt practices. Responding to a question regarding the Haryana Police’s crackdown on gangsters, he stated that the government’s primary responsibility is to ensure the safety and security of its citizens. He warned that those engaging in criminal activities would face strict legal consequences.

The chief minister stressed that Haryana is committed to maintaining a corruption-free administration. Individuals involved in corrupt practices will not be spared, and stringent action will be taken against them. He reiterated that honesty and transparency are the foundation of good governance, and when intentions are pure, the results are bound to be impactful.

He described it as a visionary financial roadmap that aligns with PM Narendra Modi’s goal of making India a developed nation by 2047. He stated that this budget is a comprehensive plan aimed at poverty eradication, universal access to quality education, affordable healthcare, skill development, increased women’s participation in economic activities, and agricultural advancement.

The chief minister emphasized that despite the government’s commendable efforts, the opposition remains critical due to political compulsions. He pointed out that over the last decade, under PM Modi’s leadership, India has taken giant strides in various sectors. The budget, presented by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, serves as a fitting response to skeptics who view development through a political lens. CM Saini affirmed that when governance is driven by integrity, the outcomes are bound to be remarkable.

Strong Focus on Agriculture and MSMEs in the Budget

CM Nayab Singh Saini emphasized that the Union Budget has introduced significant relief measures for farmers, small industries, and the middle class. The tax exemption limit has been raised to ₹12 lakh, benefiting millions of taxpayers. The government has increased the credit limit for Kisan Credit Cards from ₹3 lakh to ₹5 lakh, ensuring better financial support for farmers. Special attention has been given to low-productivity districts under the ‘Dhan-Dhanya Krishi Yojana’ to enhance agricultural output and farmer income.

The budget also includes a five-year mission to boost cotton production, strengthening India’s textile industry. Under this initiative, cotton farmers will have access to low-interest loans of up to ₹5 lakh. Additionally, more than 100 new seed varieties will be commercially available post-July 2024, further benefiting Haryana’s agricultural sector. Being an agrarian state, Haryana is expected to gain immensely from these provisions.

The ‘Make in India’ initiative will further support the domestic toy manufacturing industry. The success of the PM SVANidhi scheme has prompted the government to strengthen it further.

Education and healthcare sectors have also received a significant boost. Over the next five years, 75,000 new medical education seats will be created. Additionally, a new scheme has been introduced for five lakh women from SC-ST communities, providing them with term loans of ₹2 crore each. Startups have also been given a push, with the loan limit increased from ₹10 crore to ₹20 crore.
