The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a RED ALERT for North India ( Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh,) indicating a severe heat wave impacting the city in the coming days. To ensure public safety, the Chandigarh Disaster Management Authority has released a heat wave advisory WAVE].

- Consume Oral Rehydration Solution (ORS) or homemade beverages like lassi, torani, lemon water, and buttermilk for electrolytes.
