Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu presided over the annual function ‘Abhivyakti’ of the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HPAS) Officers Association, emphasizing the government’s commitment to strengthening administrative services and implementing crucial reforms. Addressing the gathering, he reiterated the state’s focus on enhancing efficiency, governance, and transparency while ensuring the welfare of HPAS officers.
Applauding the dedication of HPAS officers, particularly those serving in remote areas, the Chief Minister highlighted their indispensable role in executing government policies and programs. He called upon them to actively participate in decision-making processes, ensuring the state’s comprehensive development and the welfare of its citizens. Stressing the government’s motto of ‘Vyavastha Parivartan,’ he asserted that reforms were being introduced to uplift all sections of society while eliminating ‘delayed corruption’ through forward-thinking policies that guarantee transparency and efficiency.
Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu underscored his government’s vision of making Himachal Pradesh a self-reliant state by 2027 and the most prosperous state in India by 2032. Despite facing economic, political, and natural challenges, he affirmed that the government remains steadfast in its commitment to progress through strong willpower and strategic policies. He also highlighted key sectors such as hydro power, tourism, food processing, data storage, agriculture, and horticulture as focal areas for upcoming initiatives aimed at boosting the state’s economy.
Commending HPAS officers for their dedication and service, the Chief Minister assured that the government is committed to safeguarding their rights. He acknowledged their concerns and promised that a high-level state meeting would soon be held to address their demands and find effective solutions. During the event, the Chief Minister also released the new logo, flag, and souvenir of the HPAS Officers Association.
Welcoming the Chief Minister, Association Chairman Shravan Manta provided an overview of the association’s activities. In a significant move, all HPAS members voluntarily decided to forego the power subsidy and formally submitted their applications in this regard. Association Secretary Prashant Sarkaik extended a vote of thanks.
The event also featured a cultural program showcasing the rich heritage of Himachal Pradesh. Prominent attendees included MLA Neeraj Nayar, Additional Chief Secretary Onkar Chand Sharma, Secretary to the CM Rakesh Kanwar, CM’s OSD Gopal Chand, various association office bearers, retired officers, and other distinguished guests.
