Himachal Pradesh Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri Denies Election Rumors

Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri has clarified that neither he nor his daughter are contesting any elections. Agnihotri was responding to media queries about election rumors surrounding him and his family.

He stated that ticket allocation is done by the party high command, but some media personnel have taken it upon themselves to speculate about ticket distribution. Agnihotri said that such false rumors undermine the credibility of journalism.

The Deputy CM expressed surprise at the surveys that seem to be reaching people with no connection to any actual survey. He said that his family is still recovering from a recent tragedy, the demise of his wife. Agnihotri also mentioned that the Congress high command had proposed his daughter to contest, for which he expressed gratitude, but she has already put an end to the election speculation.

Agnihotri clarified that he has not received any proposal to contest elections himself. He said that while he has won the last 5 elections and has always topped surveys, some people are referring to unknown surveys, of which he has no information.
