Shimla, August 5, 2024 – Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania has announced that the Monsoon Session of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly will take place from August 27 to September 9, 2024. This session, the sixth of the fourteenth Legislative Assembly, will feature a total of 10 meetings.

According to Shri Pathania, the session will commence at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, August 27. Key dates include August 29 and September 5, which have been designated as private members’ working days. Notably, the session will not convene on Saturdays, August 31 and September 7.

The notification for the session follows the recommendation of the Hon’ble Governor of Himachal Pradesh and has been officially issued by the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Secretariat. This announcement allows Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) to submit questions and notices related to their constituencies both online and offline.

The Monsoon Session will consist of fewer meetings compared to the budget session, which had 12 meetings. This adjustment reflects the legislative calendar’s focus on addressing current issues pertinent to the state.
