Himachal Pradesh Shines at ET Government DigiTech Awards-2023 with 3 Prestigious Wins

Himachal Pradesh has once again asserted its position as a frontrunner in Digital Technology by securing three prestigious awards at the ET Government DigiTech Awards-2023. The State’s remarkable initiatives in various categories have garnered widespread recognition, earning it one Gold medal and two Silver medals.

Scheduled to be held in Goa on August 5, 2023, the award ceremony will celebrate the exemplary achievements of the state’s Department of Digital Technologies and Governance. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu expressed his delight at the recognition and praised the department’s dedication and hard work, attributing their efforts to the state’s success in the coveted award categories.

The Gold medal was awarded to Himachal Pradesh for its outstanding performance in the category of Digital Excellence in Rural Sector. The State’s commendable initiative in providing comprehensive consultancy services for the design, development, maintenance, hosting, DNS registration, and management of E-commerce websites within its borders earned it this prestigious accolade.

Additionally, Himachal Pradesh secured two Silver medals in the ET Government DigiTech Awards. The first Silver medal was awarded in the category of Leader in Emerging Technologies Initiatives, showcasing the state’s forward-thinking approach and effective adoption of cutting-edge technologies, particularly in the Him-Parivar initiative.

The second Silver medal was achieved in the category of Innovative Use of Technology in e-Governance for Digital Transformation. Himachal Pradesh’s successful implementation of the HPSHIVA MIS portal stood out for its efforts in modernizing government processes, making them more efficient, transparent, and accessible to the public.

Chief Minister Sukhu highlighted the State Government’s ongoing efforts to embrace digital and emerging technologies across various departments. Their aim is to improve services for the people of the State, making governance more streamlined and responsive to citizens’ needs. The commitment to digital transformation and the vision of achieving governance through digital technologies remain central to the state’s future endeavors.

The recognition at the ET Government DigiTech Awards-2023 reaffirms Himachal Pradesh’s position as a leader in the realm of digital innovation and sets an inspiring example for other states to follow suit.
