Interstate Security Review in Jammu and Kashmir

Senior BSF and police officials from Jammu and Kashmir and Punjab attended a high-level interstate security review meeting in Kathua. The meeting was chaired by Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police R R Swain, his Punjab counterpart Gaurav Yadav, and Special Director General of BSF, Western Command, Y B Khurania. The officials discussed ways to strengthen the anti-infiltration grid along the International Border (IB) and enhance coordination among the BSF, J&K Police, and Punjab Police to counter terror threats and smuggling activities.
