JJP-Azad Samaj Party Unveil Ambitious Poll Manifesto for Haryana, Promises MSP for All Crops, Job Creation, and Social Welfare
The Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and Azad Samaj Party (Kanshi Ram) on Sunday unveiled a comprehensive manifesto ahead of the Haryana Assembly polls, outlining a series of promises aimed at uplifting farmers, women, and youth. Titled “Jansewa Patr,” the manifesto pledges Minimum Support Price (MSP) for every crop grown in the state, along with a monthly unemployment allowance of ₹11,000 and an old-age pension of ₹5,100.
Releasing the manifesto in Sirsa, JJP leader Dushyant Chautala emphasized the alliance’s commitment to farmers by announcing a compensation of ₹25,000 per acre for crop damage under the ‘Jannayak Fasal Suraksha Scheme,’ where the state government would cover the premium costs. Furthermore, the manifesto guarantees that every grain produced in Haryana will be procured at MSP, reinforcing the alliance’s focus on agricultural welfare.
In an effort to combat unemployment, the alliance promises government jobs for one lakh women, as well as a ₹3 lakh interest-free loan for youth from economically weaker sections to set up businesses. Additionally, rural students will receive extra weightage in job recruitment and college admissions, while only a one-time fee of ₹100 will be charged for job applications. The manifesto also promises to hold student union elections annually and distribute scooters to girls from poor families who pass Class 12.
On the social welfare front, the manifesto highlights that pregnant women will receive ₹5,000 monthly for healthcare and nutrition. It also proposes 50% reservation for women in teaching posts and 33% reservation in Cooperative Department store allocations. Other notable proposals include setting up an international food processing training center in Fatehabad and building a hostel for working women in Gurugram.
In education, Bhiwani is set to become an Education City, and Panchkula will host a research center for Artificial Intelligence. Every village will have a digital library, and Agniveers will receive support for higher education. The alliance also promises tax exemptions for two-wheeler purchases, similar to those for tractors.
To boost sports, an international stadium is planned for Jhajjar, a kabaddi stadium for Sonipat, and shooting ranges in four districts. Industrial areas will be established in every district to generate one lakh jobs. The manifesto also guarantees 3% reservation for the disabled and construction of Ambedkar Hostels in every sub-division.
