Justice Rajiv Shakdher Sworn in as Chief Justice of Himachal Pradesh High Court at Raj Bhavan

Shimla: In a prestigious ceremony at Raj Bhavan, Justice Rajiv Shakdher was administered the oath of office as the new Chief Justice of the Himachal Pradesh High Court. Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla officiated the ceremony, which was attended by several prominent figures, including Chief Secretary Prabodh Saxena, who read the Warrant of Appointment issued by the President of India. Among the attendees were Lady Governor Janaki Shukla, Agriculture Minister Chander Kumar, PWD Minister Vikramaditya Singh, and Town and Country Planning Minister Rajesh Dharmani, alongside judges, state political leaders, and other dignitaries. Born on October 19, 1962, Justice Shakdher brings decades of legal experience in civil, constitutional, and corporate law, having previously served at both the Delhi and Madras High Courts. His appointment marks a significant milestone for the judiciary of Himachal Pradesh.
