Mandi, April 6, 2025 — BJP MP and Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut strongly endorsed the recently introduced Waqf Board Bill in Parliament, calling it a “historic and much-needed move” to curb alleged land encroachments and promote transparency in religious property management.

During her visit to Mandi, her parliamentary constituency, Kangana hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that his commitment to rooting out corruption is evident in bold legislative actions like this.

“The formation of the Waqf Board by Congress led to massive land encroachment. With the introduction of this new bill, we are correcting those past wrongs. No one is above the law,” Kangana said, addressing local media.

The Waqf Board Bill, recently tabled in Parliament, seeks to regulate the functioning of Waqf boards, curb illegal land occupation, and ensure greater transparency in the management of religious properties.
