Manohar Lal lauds Advani’s contribution, slams caste politics, hails Modi for Bharat Ratna awards
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal visited former Deputy Prime Minister and senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani at his residence in New Delhi to congratulate him on being awarded the highest honor Bharat Ratna. The Chief Minister also presented Advani with a book based on the achievements of the Haryana government in the last nine years. Advani expressed happiness over the work being done in Haryana.
The Chief Minister said that Advani always encourages people to move forward and has always taken everyone along. He said that he felt a special affection when he met Advani. He thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the central government for awarding the Bharat Ratna to Advani.
The Chief Minister said that the Bharat Ratna is given to a person’s contribution to the country. He said that he does not think that Prime Minister Narendra Modi believes in caste politics. He said that caste-based politics should never happen in the country as it is harmful.
The Chief Minister also met Union Home Minister Amit Shah and discussed the farmers’ Delhi march on February 13. He said that all arrangements have been made to ensure that the march remains peaceful.
On the issue of the Ram temple in Parliament, the Chief Minister said that the MPs express their views on the proposal keeping in mind its spirit. He said that the proposal will definitely benefit everyone.
On the nomination of a member to the Rajya Sabha, the Chief Minister said that it is decided by the party’s parliamentary board and whatever it decides will be final.
