On December 2, the Punjab Vidhan Sabha witnessed a significant event as Speaker S. Kultar Singh Sandhwan administered the oath to the newly-elected Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) from Chabbewal, Dera Baba Nanak, and Gidderbaha constituencies. The ceremony took place in the Member’s Lounge of the Vidhan Sabha, with the presence of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann and AAP Punjab President Mr. Aman Arora. The event marked an important step in Punjab’s political landscape following the recent by-elections.
Dr. Ishank Kumar Chabbewal, the AAP candidate from Chabbewal, Sh. Gurdeep Singh Randhawa from Dera Baba Nanak, and Sh. Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon from Gidderbaha were officially sworn in as MLAs during the ceremony. Their families and several dignitaries were present to witness this milestone. Among the notable attendees were Finance Minister Advocate Harpal Singh Cheema, Water Resources and Mining Minister Sh. Barinder Kumar Goyal, and Revenue Minister S. Hardeep Singh Mundian, as well as Member of Parliament Dr. Raj Kumar Chabbewal, AAP Punjab Acting President Mr. Amansher Singh Shery Kalsi, and other legislators.
The Chief Minister, S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, congratulated the newly-elected MLAs, praising their victories in the by-elections and acknowledging their dedication to serving the people of Punjab. In his remarks, CM Mann expressed his optimism for the future of the state, stressing the importance of the continued efforts of these elected representatives to further the development and welfare of Punjab.
